A sole beam of light

Lay across her chest

Making visible the dust,

That floated above her

Dying to touch.

She respired slowly

Spent from making love

Her nipples remained erect,

And she still had my warmth

Inside of her

Her face had a glow

That made me want to

Turn her over by the waist,

And show her that my love

Had not left me.

I liked this poem. I have an issue with the use of sole. I tried that once too, and my advisor said it didn’t work.
So, why do you use “sole” here (instead of soul?) Inquiring minds need to know…Jessica Klein
