Strangers

She asked if I

Could lick the blood

Off her flesh

But it wasn’t me

That had put it there

I don’t know if it

Was self inflicted

 

Or if

 

She had suffered

At the hands

Of someone else

All I know is

That I hadn’t

The guts

To help her through
