Bygones

Midnight is a lonely place

But it’s lonelier with you

Stretched out next to me

Breathing in air and space

I was happy a long time ago

It’s something I no longer know

The moon is alone up high

The stars are near yet so far

They offer nothing

To the giant in the sky

The moon can have my heart if I too

If it will allow me space from you

This love is a burden and a bore

I wish for strength to walk out the door

  3. Been there and can feel this one. The initial comment I was writing has turned into the beginning of a poem. Thank you for the inspiration 🙂
