Summer Rain

Lie with me in the summer rain

With you I can go wherever

Hand in hand and side by side

Happiness was never my goal

Your cigarette left a stain

On my heart and my leather

Now you reside

In this newly formed hole

Cold gin to medicate my pain

Something I feel whenever

I think of my former bride

Young love takes its toll

There’s nothing left to lose or gain

Stuck in an endless cycle of forever

My hope rose then died

As you syphoned my soul

  2. Hi Greg
I’m doing this thing on my blog #feelthelove. Would be great if you could contribute some poetry… Have a look and see what you think?

Hope you don’t mind me being too cheeky but like the idea of challenging you to write something positive / joyful about love. No worries if that’s not where you head / heart is though…
    Thanks
    Karen
